It is necessary to do regular maintenance on a bamboo flooring to keep it dirt free and good looking. Only periodic maintenance can save the bamboo floors from dents and scraches.The cleaning can be done with usual cleaning agents and there is no need of any skills to clean the bamboo floor.

Regularly use a fiber broom to clean the dust and dirt. For better results a vacuum cleaner may be used. Always use a soft cloth soaked in water to remove liquid spills and sticky food particles on the surface. A new coating of polyurethane may be applied after sanding. Solvent based urethane and wool pad is the ideal material for this purpose.

Manufactures often give long warranty for quality bamboo floorings. Maintenance on such floorings is least and minimum. Strand woven bamboo floorings and solid bamboo floorings require less maintenance than ordinary bamboo floorings. Thus if the price goes up a little, it is benefited to the customer through reduced maintenance cost.
